Lyrics

“Escape to Liberty” by Torrance Family Band. Lyrics by Shane Welsh.

Breath, sweat, blood, swamp, and bog
I can hear the barking dogs
Inside of the morbid rising sun
I know I don’t got long to run
To run

I broke from camp at the break of dawn
Freedom, survival the only law
My head, my feet, my legs are on fire
I will press on through tooth and through wire

‘Cause they’re gonna put me six feet under
Put me six feet
